The Geography Lesson
Denver International Airport is 25 miles northeast of downtown Denver. This is not a city-center airport. If you're thinking "I'll grab a crashpad near downtown," you've already made a mistake that costs you 50 miles of commuting per month. Crew crashpads cluster near the airport, not downtown.

Stapleton / Central Park
Former airport site redeveloped into a neighborhood connected to downtown via RTD A Line. Farther from DEN but excellent rail service.
Commerce City
North/east of the airport, just a 5-10 minute drive to DEN. Affordable options for crew on a budget.

Tower Road
About 10 minutes by car. Closest neighborhood to DEN with the simplest commute.
Aurora / Gateway Park
15-20 minutes by car. Good A Line rail access for crew on reserve.
Downtown Denver
35-45 minutes by car, or 37 minutes via RTD A Line. Not recommended unless you need city access.
Rideshare
Uber/Lyft from Tower Road to DEN typically $12-20. A solid backup option for early morning call times.

Don't Live Downtown
You'll waste an hour each way. Pick Tower Road, Aurora, or Commerce City for a manageable commute to DEN.
Plan for Altitude
Denver sits at 5,280 feet. New arrivals sometimes report head pressure, dry sinuses, or fatigue for the first few days.
Earliest A Line Train
The 3:15 AM departure gets you to DEN by 3:52 AM, covering most early deadheads. Your best friend on reserve.
